The Original Barnominium

Would you want to live in a barn? We bought this place in 2002. I had a vision and my mom thought that I had literally lost my mind. We were living in a home that we had custom built. Why in the world would, I want to move. I really have no answer! We put our home on the market. It took two years to sell, and in that time, we worked here a lot! I affectionately named it The Barnominium. It is horse barn, two story house, garage/game-Sunroom, and trailer garage/storage. I had never heard the word and thought it was my word! In 20 years it has become a popular word and a popular way of living.

Looking back, maybe I was crazy! First, we cut that hole in the left side.

We add 12′ onto the Left side of the building. That is where the horse stalls are with a center aisle.

A hole was cut in the right side and a garage door added.

A porch, shutters and a parking pad was added. Looking better!

Then we added brick and stone across the front.
So, that was the completed update.

Follow along for the new look! We finally took the plunge in 2021 and painted the building. I love it. I always hated this color and the addition we had done was really starting to look like a different color.

And as always, thanks for dropping by. Please feel free to comment.

Also, I am transitioning from my other blog Simple, But Fabulous (simplebutfabulous.blogspot.com). Feel free to jump over there for older material. I am working on adding new material here.

PS: I would so appreciate a follow-on Melinda Donnell’s Amazon Page, where I post videos of honest reviews on products that we have purchased. I can make a small commission on a qualified sale at no extra charge to you. I would so appreciate it.
